ISEA offers a dynamic Youth Volunteer Program designed to empower high school students through meaningful community engagement, leadership development, and hands-on learning experiences.

ISEA actively recruits and trains student volunteers to participate in a wide range of educational events, competitions, and outreach initiatives. Through these opportunities, students gain real-world skills while contributing to the advancement of STEAM education in their communities.

Volunteer Roles and Responsibilities

ISEA student volunteers play an essential role in supporting our programs and events. Their responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in STEAM competitions as: Judge Assistants, Scorekeepers, Event Coordinators, Equipment Inspection Assistants, Registration and Check-in Staff

  • Supporting event logistics and on-site operations to ensure smooth and professional execution

  • Assisting instructors in children’s STEM introductory classes, helping younger students engage with robotics, coding, and engineering concepts

Leadership Opportunities

Our program also provides advanced leadership pathways for experienced volunteers.

ISEA Volunteer Leaders take on expanded responsibilities, including:

  • Assisting in curriculum planning and instructional design

  • Supporting both online and in-person course delivery

  • Managing virtual classrooms and learning platforms

  • Mentoring junior volunteers and guiding team coordination

  • Leading volunteer recruitment efforts for major competitions and events

These leadership roles allow students to develop skills in communication, organization, teaching, and project management—preparing them for future academic and professional success.
